The descriptive English section of the Punjab & Haryana High Court Clerk Stage 1 written examination tests how clearly you write under time. Candidates practise four formats: a structured essay, a precis that condenses a passage to about a third of its length, formal and informal letter writing, and Punjabi to English translation. This practice set covers all four, built from the official exam pattern.

Each attempt is scored for grammar, word choice and structure, then set against a model answer so you can see exactly what a strong response looks like. Work through one format at a time, build speed and accuracy together, and treat every submission as a timed rehearsal for the real descriptive paper. The first topic in each format is free; the rest unlock with Punjab Stage 1 access. This is practice material built from the official S.S.S.C. criteria, not real exam questions.
