High Court Clerk Typing Test Online — 10 Minutes, 30 W.P.M.

Every typing mock includes paper-to-screen practice. Choose your passage format and sound before you begin.

Part II of the Punjab & Haryana High Court Clerk C.P.T. is a ten-minute English typing test. Candidates often search for it as the Tier 2 typing test. You type a printed passage on screen, and the paper is qualifying — you need at least 30 words per minute to pass, and the marks do not add to the merit list.

Speed is measured as words typed minus mistakes, divided by minutes. A slip costs you a word, so accuracy matters as much as pace. These mocks time you, count your errors and show the net speed the way the Commission does.

Practical preparation

How to prepare for the Clerk typing test

Use the free online typing test to find your current net speed, then practise the weakness shown in the result instead of repeating random passages.

  1. 01

    Measure

Complete one full 10-minute passage and record both net W.P.M. and accuracy.

  2. 02

    Correct

Practise the punctuation, capitals, spacing and slow keys that caused the most lost words.

  3. 03

    Build

Alternate short accuracy drills with full paper-to-screen runs until 30 W.P.M. is repeatable.

  4. 04

    Rehearse

In the final week, use the same ten-minute, no-pause conditions expected in the C.P.T.

Common questions

Type in short, steady bursts rather than sprinting, keep your eyes on the passage instead of the keyboard, and let accuracy come first — clearing mistakes is slower than avoiding them. Regular ten-minute practice can help you build toward 30 W.P.M.; your progress will depend on your starting speed and accuracy.
